The Golden Ratio is where the ratio of the larger and smaller segment is the same. You can produce the Golden Ratio by making the height and width of a picture the same. If you are using this method to place it on your blog, you can position the image with the sidebar and main content. Use this method to find the Golden Ratio for a picture:
Pixels of a picture X the height of the picture = width of the picture
Width / Height = Golden Ratio (should be 1.618 or 0.618)
Use Fibonacci Sequence
The Fibonacci sequence is a succession of numbers where the following number in the sequence is the total of the two previous numbers. For instance 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34… If you divide a number from the sequence by a previous number, you will get the golden number (1.618).

If you do not know how to create visual content, you can use a number of tools that are easily available online. Here are the tools that you should use:
Canva offers several templates to choose from, but if you do not want to use them, you can create one from scratch. You can edit the templates to your liking. After you are done, the tool will automatically align the image to grids.
Skitch lets you screen-grab content, allowing you to place it on your site easily. The tool also offers annotation features.
By far, Photoshop remains one of the most used tools to create and edit images. However, it will require some practice, skill, and resources to use it. It also costs money, and those not willing to spend a lot can always use Gimp, a free software with similar tools and features.
5 Tips to Producing Visually Stunning Content
Each time you create visual content, it has to be striking or else it will not work, and you will have wasted your time in creating something mediocre that will fade away as soon as you put it up on the internet. Here are some tips to adhere by when creating an image:
1. Use Grids
Memorize the Rule of Thirds by heart. It will help you frame your photo in such a way that all the important aspects of the image will be highlighted. If you are adding text to the image, place it on the top part of the solid lines.
2. Use a Photo Filter
In order for people to recognize that the image is from your site, use a filter that reflects that thought. Keep using the same filter with every image you create.
3. Set Your Brand Fonts and Color Palette
Pick a color palette or brand font to make your site more recognizable. On the blog posts, use colors that go along with the theme of your blog.
4. Select a High Quality Stock Photo
You can use free stock photo websites or register for one, but make sure that it contains high quality images. However, there is a method to finding high quality pictures. Select pictures that are bright, follow the Rule of Thirds, and the Gold Ratio.
5. Create a Helpful Infographic
Infographics are helpful in relying detailed and complex information in a concise format.
According to Citrix, 63% of social media contains visual content, which means that almost two-thirds of the updates are images or videos. The 2013 Pew Research Study stated that 54% social media users create their own visual content. Now, it is your turn to do the same.
