Using Social Networks For Recruiting
When society makes changes, so must businesses. This is especially true when a company is looking for new ways to find qualified applicants. According to Aliah D. Wright, more and more companies are using Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, among other social networking sites, to seek out potential employees. Wright goes on to say that most employers view LinkedIn users as the suits and ties type of employees; whereas, Facebook users are viewed as non-managerial and salaried employees. Some job search companies, such as BeKnown, pulls limited information from Facebook profiles when authorized by the user. This aids both job searchers and recruiters in finding the right match for their company.
