Social networking really seemed to boom in 2010 as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter really took off. Although these giants have been around for a little while, businesses seemed a bit more inclined to begin really using them as their popularity grew. Those businesses that really looked for more bang for their buck and those looking to reach a larger audience started using social networking on a higher scale.
David F. Carr presented the 10 Biggest Social Business Stories of 2011, most of which I have heard about and agree with. There were a few that were a learning experience for me as well.
