This year my son’s birthday lands on Thanksgiving this year, so he’s going get another Thanksgiving birthday with family. I don’t think that he really minds, though, because he usually makes out pretty well for his birthday this way.
Just as I did for Halloween, I will be posting things about Thanksgiving over the next week or so. Enjoy and please let me know what you think!
I have noticed over the years that people tend to be more thankful for things around this time of the year than any other part of the year (and more giving around Christmas). Here are 30 things that I am grateful for year-round.
Teachers – for giving of themselves to make our world a better place.
Husband – for holding me when I need to feel secure and for loving me no matter what.
Oceans – for providing a home for all of our sea creatures.
Friends – for always being there when I need a shoulder to cry on.
Life – for allowing me to experience myself.
Sunsets – for being absolutely amazing!
Laughter – for making me feel wonderful inside.
Good Conversation – for letting me connect with another human being.
Kisses – for letting me see the sparks.
Pain – for allowing me to see how strong I really am.
Sunrises – for waking my world up.
Kids – for allowing me to love you so fully.
Today – for letting me experience what was meant to be.
Tomorrow – for giving me the opportunity to experience more.
Parents – for loving me so unconditionally.
The Good Times – for reminding me of what I have.
Sunshine – for lighting my world.
Sadness – for letting me know what true happiness is.
Love – for allowing me to truly feel what it means to be alive.
Rain – for helping everything grow.
Volunteers – for giving of yourselves so freely.
Memories – for being both good and bad and for being there whenever I need you.
Hugs – for making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
The Hard Times – for teaching me how to be stronger.
