I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Halloween!! All of the spooky decorations and costumes, the yummy treats, the cool weather, the leaves falling off the trees, the walking for a million miles while I take my beautifully little one’s trick-or-treating…I could go on and on and on…you get the point.
My birthday is Oct. 29th, so I always had Halloween parties growing up. They got a little old, but now I absolutely LOVE the holiday! Over the next week or so I’ll be posting some tips, tricks, and just fun stuff about Halloween (along with my other regular posts).
Today, it’s about safety. With all of the little one’s around, here are some tips to keep your little ones healthy and safe.
Have a flashlight with you at all times. Never go out without one so you can see where you are going, and so other people can see you!
Always travel in groups. The more, the merrier.
Look around you. Always be aware of your surroundings
Look both ways before crossing the street.
Only walk on sidewalks and only go to neighborhoods that you are familiar with.
Wear a costume that doesn’t keep you from moving your arms and legs freely or seeing everything around you.
Enter homes and/or haunted houses only if you have an adult with you and they say it
Eat only the candy that is wrapped in packaging that you can tell has not been tampered with. Have Mom or Dad look through your candy before digging in.
Never go trick-or-treating alone! Always make sure you have an adult with you.
