Weight Discrimination In The Workplace

In the article Study: Weight and pay are linked, research shows that women who weigh less earn more at their jobs. In addition, men who weigh more earn more at their jobs. This may be another one to add to the list of discriminations in the workplace.

The article points out that a study was started in 1979 and looked at 12,000 participants. It also took into account age, race, education, and gender. Well, for the women out there, it appears as though that the increasing obesity rate in the U.S. is against us. For men, apparently it is in your best interest…at least where job earnings are concerned. This is quite disturbing.
