Last night I had the pleasure of attending a Clue Me In competition, of which my wonderful, hardworking son was a part of. Yes, this is a ‘mommy bragging’ post where I get to boast about my son who is an amazing person! He is only in the 4th grade, but he was chosen as one of six children to participate in this competition. For this particular competition, the children read 10 books and had to memorize nearly every aspect of these books. While my son’s school did not win the competition, I am so very proud of him for his dedication, outstanding performance, diligence in his reading, and for his good sportsmanlike conduct.

With 20 schools competing this year, the competition was tough. He and his classmates did their best and the best part is that he wants to compete again next year! He told me, “Mom, I want to do this again next year, but this time I’m going to study those books harder and I’m going to get a list of the books so I can start reading them over the summer.” Yes, definitely a proud mommy moment!
A wonderful moment. You have every reason to be proud of your son, these school competitions can get very tough and many kids get understandably discouraged along the way. Congrats to your son…and well done mom! 🙂
Thank you so much! 🙂
